SELENITE

In Greek, Selenite means stone from the moon. It represents the moon’s ethereal moonlight and is named after the Greek Goddess of the Moon, Selene. Ancient scholars believed that Selenite, as well as many other transparent crystals “waxed” and “waned” with the moon. This meant its strength is thought to ebb and flow at different times during the month, reaching its peak during a Full Moon.
